Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 and we glorify God". 166 They used to say: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
