And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 For all that they used to do. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
