And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 When (you feel so) glorify your Lord with His praise and prostrate yourself before Him, 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
