And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say: 'Journey in the land and see what was the end of the sinners' 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 Truly, your Lord is bountiful to mankind, but most of them are not grateful. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 for there is nothing [so deeply] hidden in the heavens or on earth but is recorded in [His] clear decree. 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear, save those who believe Our revelations and who have surrendered. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
