Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ HALLOWED be He in whose hand all dominion rests, since He has the power to will anything: 1 Who created death and life in order to try you to see who of you are best of deed. He is all-mighty and forgiving, 2 [And] who created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks? 3 Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim. 4 And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination. 6 When they will be cast into it, they will hear it roar as it boils, 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say: “Yes, a warner came to us, but we gave the lie to him and said: 'Allah has revealed nothing. You are surely in huge error.' 9 And they will say, “Had we listened or understood, we would not have been among the people of hell.” 10 Then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire. 11 Verily! Those who fear their Lord unseen (i.e. they do not see Him, nor His Punishment in the Hereafter, etc.), theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). 12 And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 13 Would He not know, He Who has created, when He is All-Subtle, All-Aware? 14
