Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 The bestowal from on high of this divine writ issues, beyond any doubt, from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 2 Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth, and all what is between them, in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) established Himself over the Throne (of control); leaving Allah, there is neither a friend nor an intercessor for you; so do you not ponder? 4 He directs all affairs from heaven to earth. Then all will again ascend to Him on a Day whose length is a thousand years by the way you measure. 5 Such is (He) the knower of the unknown and the known, the mighty and the merciful, 6 The One Who created all things excellent, and Who initiated the creation of man from clay. 7 then He fashioned his progeny of an extraction of mean water, 8 Then made him proper and blew into him a spirit from Him, and bestowed ears and eyes and hearts to you; very little thanks do you offer! 9 And they say: "When we are (dead and become) lost in the earth, shall we indeed be recreated anew?" Nay, but they deny the Meeting with their Lord! 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
