The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
