The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful 1

ALL PRAISE BE to Allah, Lord of all the worlds, 2 The Beneficent, the Merciful. 3 Sovereign of the Day of Requital. 4 Thee only we serve; to Thee alone we pray for succour. 5 Guide us (O Lord) to the path that is straight, 6 The path of those You have blessed, Not of those who have earned Your anger, nor those who have gone astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
