The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and so am I: 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
