Surely We created man of a clay of mud moulded, 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely, 30 But Iblis did not; he refused to be with the prostrates. 31 Said He, 'What ails thee, Iblis, that thou art not among those bowing?' 32 He said: I am not such that I should make obeisance to a mortal whom Thou hast created of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 33 Said Allah, “Therefore exit from Paradise, for you are an outcast.” 34 and there shall be a curse upon you till the Day of Recompense." 35 He said: 'My Lord, reprieve me till the Day they are raised' 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 till the Day the time whereof is known [to Me alone]." 38 "O my Lord," he said, "since You have led me into error I'll beguile them with the pleasures of the world and lead them astray, 39 excepting those Thy servants among them that are devoted. 40 Said He: "This is, with Me, a straight way: 41 Verily as for My bondmen, no authority shalt thou have over them, except the erring one who follow thee. 42 Surely Hell is the promised place for all of them." 43 To it are seven gates: for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
