Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 Indeed, We purified them with a most pure quality, the remembrance of the Everlasting Life. 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them; 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
