Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
