Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
