Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 is food for the sinner. 44 like molten lead will it boil in the belly, 45 as the boiling of the hot water. 46 Seize him, then drag him down into the middle of the hell; 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 "Verily! This is that whereof you used to doubt!" 50 Verily! The Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), will be in place of Security (Paradise). 51 In Gardens and water-springs. 52 Attired in fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They will never taste death therein except the first death (of this world), and He will save them from the torment of the blazing Fire, 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait then; they too are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
