Sheba (Saba)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Praise be to Allah, unto Whom belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. His is the praise in the Hereafter, and He is the Wise, the Aware. 1 He knows that which goes into the earth and that which comes forth from it, and that which descend from the heaven and that which ascends to it. And He is the Most Merciful, the OftForgiving. 2 Those who disbelieve say: the Hour will not come unto us. Say thou: yea, by my Lord the Knower of the unseen, it will surely come unto you. Not the weight of an atom escapeth Him in the heavens or in the earth; nor is there anything less than it nor greater but it is inscribed in a Luminous Book 3 that He may recompense those who believe, and do righteous deeds; theirs shall be forgiveness and generous provision. 4 And (as for) those who strive hard in opposing Our communications, these it is for whom is a painful chastisement of an evil kind. 5 And those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, and it guides to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy. 6 Those who disbelieve say: Shall we show you a man who will tell you (that) when ye have become dispersed in dust with most complete dispersal still, even then, ye will be created anew? 7 Does he [knowingly] attribute his own lying inventions to God - or is he a madman?" Nay, [there is no madness in this Prophet] but they who will not believe in the life to come are [bound to lose themselves] in suffering and in a profound aberration. 8 Do they not see how the heavens and the earth encompass them from the front and the rear? We could, if We so wished, cause the earth to swallow them or let fragments of the sky fall upon them. Verily there is a Sign in this for every servant (of Allah) who penitently turns to Him. 9
