The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 and gushing water, 31 and fruits abounding 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And raised couches. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 and made them virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
