Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
