Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
