The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 and rained down upon them a rain [of destruction]: and dire is such rain upon all who let themselves be warned [to no avail]! 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
