The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man. 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
