The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
