Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things, 1 Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 He created seven heavens one above the other in layers. You will not find any flaw in the creation of the Gracious One. Then look once again: can you see any flaw? 3 Then look again and again. Your gaze will come back to you confused and exhausted. 4 And assuredly We have bedecked the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for satans: and for them We have gotten ready the torment of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there awaits the punishment of Gehenna (Hell) an evil arrival! 6 When they are cast into it they shall hear it sighing, while it boils 7 As though it would burst with fury. Every time a crowd is thrown into it, its wardens will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They say, 'Yes indeed, a warner came to us; but we cried lies, saying, "God has not sent down anything; you are only in great error. 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 So it is that they confess their sins. Curse the inhabitants of the Blaze! 11 As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. 12 And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 13 Shall He not know, who created? And He is the All-subtle, the All-aware. 14
