Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Inevitable Reality? 2 And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is! 3 The people of Thamud and Ad denied the Day of Judgment. 4 the Thamud were destroyed by a terrible storm of thunder and lightning; 5 and as for Ad, they were destroyed by a wind clamorous, 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 So do you see any survivor among them? 8 And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, 9 They defied their Lord's messenger, so He seized them with an ever-tightening grip. 10 Verily when the water rose to great heights, We bore you upon a floating vessel (i.e. the Ark) 11 In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it. 12 So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,- 14 On that Day will come what is to come. 15 And the heaven shall cleave asunder, so that on that day it shall be frail, 16 And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power. 17 That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden. 18 He who is given his ledger in his right hand, will say: "Here, read my ledger. 19 I was sure that the record of my deeds would be shown to me". 20 So he shall have an agreeable life 21 in a lofty garden, 22 the clusters of whose fruit will be hanging low to be within reach (of the inmates of Paradise). 23 Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. 24 However, those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their left hands will say, "We wish that this record had never been given to us 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 “Alas, if only it had been just death.” 27 Our wealth is of no benefit to us 28 There hath perished from me my authority. 29 [Thereupon the command will go forth:] "Lay hold of him, and shackle him, 30 and then roast him in Hell, 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 for he did not believe in Almighty God, 33 nor would he urge the feeding of the poor. 34 Therefore he has not here today a true friend, 35 nor any food except foul pus 36 None will eat it except the sinners. 37
