And if they deny thee, say: Unto me my work, and unto you your work. Ye are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what ye do. 41 And of them are some who hearken unto thee, so canst thou make the deaf hear, even though they apprehend not? 42 Some of them look fixedly at you; but can you make the blind see, bereft as they are of sight? 43 Surely God does not wrong anyone; they wrong themselves. 44 One day He will gather them together: (It will be) as if they had tarried but an hour of a day: they will recognise each other: assuredly those will be lost who denied the meeting with Allah and refused to receive true guidance. 45 And whether We show you some of what We promise them, [O Muhammad], or We take you in death, to Us is their return; then, [either way], Allah is a witness concerning what they are doing 46 And for every nation there is a messenger. And when their messenger cometh (on the Day of Judgment) it will be judged between them fairly, and they will not be wronged. 47 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 48 Say, "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allah should will. For every nation is a [specified] term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]." 49 Say: "Have you ever thought if His punishment befalls you at night or in the day, what would the sinners do to despatch it? 50 Is it, then, when it hath befallen, that ye will believe therein now? whereas ye have surely been hastening it on. 51 Then it shall be said to those who were unjust: Taste abiding chastisement; you are not requited except for what you earned. 52 And they ask thee to tell them if it be true. Say thou: yeah by my Lord, it is the very truth, and ye shall not be able to escape. 53
