And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
