Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
