NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning for people -- 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
