The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 who observe Zakah; 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
