In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the Mount (Sinai), 1 And by the Book Inscribed. 2 In parchment spread open 3 By the much-frequented Fane; 4 Consider the vault [of heaven] raised high! 5 And the sea kept filled, 6 Most surely the punishment of your Lord will come to pass; 7 No one can avert it. 8 On the day when the heaven shall move from side to side 9 and the mountains will move with [an awesome] movement. 10 Woe on that Day to those who deny the truth, 11 who divert themselves with idle chatter: 12 On the Day whereon they will be pushed into Hell-Fire with a dreadful push. 13 This is the Fire which you used to belie. 14 Then is this magic, or do you not see? 15 Roast in it! And bear you patiently, or bear not patiently, equal it is to you; you are only being recompensed for that you were working.' 16 Indeed the pious are in Gardens and peace. 17 Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire. 18 (To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds." 19 reclining on couches arranged in rows. And We shall wed them to fair maidens with large beautiful eyes. 20 And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith,- to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds. 21 We shall provide them in abundance with such fruit and meat as they desire. 22 They will pass cups of un-intoxicating and unsinful wine to one another. 23 ۞ And there will go round on them youths appointed to attend them as though they were pearls hidden. 24 And one of them turned towards the other, questioning. 25 They will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah]. 26 But God has granted us favors and saved us from the scorching heat of the torment. 27 Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful." 28
