The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back from the dead. 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
