The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 We destroyed the others 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
