Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon) before The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif. Lam. Mim 1 The revelation of the Scripture whereof there is no doubt is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction. 3 IT IS GOD who has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. You have none to protect you from God, and none to intercede for you [on Judgment Day]: will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 4 He plans (all) the job(s) from the heaven to the earth then it will return to Him on the Day which amounts to a thousand years in your count. 5 Such is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty, the Merciful. 6 The One Who created all things excellent, and Who initiated the creation of man from clay. 7 Then He made his progeny from an extract of water base. 8 Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 9 And they say: When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created? Nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "[One day,] the angel of death who has been given charge of you will gather you, and then unto your Sustainer you will be brought back." 11
