The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
