Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
