۞ Before this We gave Abraham his guidance. We knew him well. 51 When he said unto his father and his folk: What are these images unto which ye pay devotion? 52 They answered: "We found our forefathers worshipping them." 53 He said, “Indeed you all – you and your forefathers – were in open error.” 54 They said, 'What, hast thou come to us with the truth, or art thou one of those that play?' 55 He said, "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, He Who created them (from nothing): and I am a witness to this (Truth). 56 And [he added to himself.] "By God, I shall most certainly bring about the downfall of your idols as soon as you have turned your backs and gone away!" 57 So he broke them into pieces, except the chief of them, that haply they may return to it. 58 They said, 'Who has. done this with our gods? Surely he is one of the evildoers.' 59 Some of them said: "We heard a youth called Abraham speak (ill) of them." 60 They said: bring him then before the eyes of the people, haply they may bear witness. 61 They said: Have you done this to our gods, O Ibrahim? 62 He replied, "I think the biggest among them has broken the smaller ones. Ask them if they are able to speak". 63 So they turned to themselves and said, "Surely ye are the ones in the wrong!" 64 Then were they confounded with shame: (they said), "Thou knowest full well that these (idols) do not speak!" 65 (So Abraham) said: "Then why do you worship something apart from God that cannot profit you or do you harm? 66 Fie on you and on what you serve besides Allah; what! do you not then understand? 67 They said, "Burn him to ashes if you want to help your gods". 68 We said to the fire, "Be cool and peaceful (with Abraham)". 69 And they wished to cause him harm, so We made them the greatest of losers. 70 So We delivered him and Lot, and brought them to the land We had blessed for all the people. 71 We gave him, in excess, Isaac, and Jacob (for a grandson); and We made each righteous 72 And We made them chiefs who guide by Our command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds and the right establishment of worship and the giving of alms, and they were worshippers of Us (alone). 73 And to Lut, too, We gave Judgment and Knowledge, and We saved him from the town which practised abominations: truly they were a people given to Evil, a rebellious people. 74 We encompassed him in Our mercy; he was a righteous man. 75

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
