The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and so am I: 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
