The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 As they sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
