Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
So I do call to witness what ye see, 38 and what you do not see 39 because the Quran is certainly the word of a reverent messenger. 40 It is not poet's speech - little is it that ye believe! 41 Nor diviner's speech - little is it that ye remember! 42 It is a revelation sent down by the Sustainer of the Universe: 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand, 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein, 46 and not one of you could have defended him. 47 And verily it is an admonition unto the God-fearing. 48 but We know that some of you will cry lies. 49 It is surely the nemesis of unbelievers. 50 yet it is a certain truth. 51 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Almighty. 52
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
