The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
