Elucidated (Fussilat)

54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Ha. Mim. 1 [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful - 2 A Book the verses of which are explained in detail, the Qur’an in Arabic for people of intellect. 3 It bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working." 5 Say: 'I am only a mortal, like you are. To me it has been revealed that your God is One God; so go straight with Him, and ask for His forgiveness; and woe to the idolaters 6 (To) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter. 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them is a reward uninterrupted. 8
