Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Calamity! 1 What is the Reality? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 (The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come. 4 But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning! 5 and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind 6 Which He sent to assail them for seven nights and eight days running. You should have seen the people prostrate like the decayed trunks of date-palm trees. 7 Then seest thou any of them left surviving? 8 Similarly, Pharaoh, and those before him, and the ruined villages, sinned 9 They disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord and He seized them with torment which increased with time. 10 And when the waters rose (high) We carried you in the sailing (Ark), 11 that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold. 12 Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet, 13 And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and crushed with a single crush. 14 on that Day the Great Event will come to pass. 15 The sky will cleave asunder on that day and fall to pieces. 16 The angels will stand on all its sides. And on that Day, eight (of them) will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 On that day all your secrets will be exposed. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Lo! read my book: 19 Verily I was sure that I should be a meeter of my reckoning. 20 And so he will find himself in a happy state of life, 21 In an elevated garden, 22 the clusters of whose fruit will be hanging low to be within reach (of the inmates of Paradise). 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 As for him whose Record will be given to him in his left hand, he will exclaim: “Would that I had never been given my Record, 25 and had not known my account. 26 Oh, would that it had been the ending! 27 My wealth has not helped me a thing 28 I am bereft of power." 29 Lay hold of him and chain him; 30 Then in the Scorch roast him 31 "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" 32 Indeed, he did not use to believe in Allah, the Most Great, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 That is why he has no friend today, 35 Nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds, 36 None will eat it except the sinners. 37
