The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
