Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Tell them: “Wait; I too am waiting with you.” 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe. 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers? 37 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Do they have any god other than Allah? Exalted be Allah above whatever they associate (with Him in His Divinity). 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Therefore leave them, until they confront their day, in which they will be stunned. 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
