Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah). 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 as sustenance for My servants. With this We have brought the dead land back to life. Thus, will also be your resurrection. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
