We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
