Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
