Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is covered, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
