The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
