Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
