Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 You shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
